Motorsport journalist Ross MacKay takes a look at where we've been on two wheels and four, taking readers from the very first organised event at Christchurch's Addington Raceway back in 1905 to the action we get revved up about today.
Packed with never-before published photos, first-hand accounts and historical facts, this book gives a fascinating look at how motorsport has developed over the years.
It also offers up a look at some of those big names, including Ron Roycroft, Bruce McLaren, Scott Dixon and Steve and Rod Millen.
The author reckons his life-long interest in the sport of speed was triggered by a trip to a club meeting at our very own Teretonga back in the early 1970s.
