Thrillers & Mysteries
Luca and Bill, two British mountaineers, spot an unusual-looking mountain during a climbing expedition in Tibet.
Obsessed with finding out more about it, Luca eventually persuades his climbing partner to return to Tibet. Because of hurried preparations they have not had time to organise proper travel visas and, as a result, with every step they go they are travelling further into danger. Not from the climate or the mountains but from the Chinese secret police. Convinced the pair is part of a Buddhist conspiracy, a special team sets out to track them down and interrogate them.
The trouble is that Luca and Bill's discovery may be innocently leading the Chinese to the last bastion of Tibetan Buddhism. It all bodes ill.
PS: Dont be put off by the swastika symbol on the map. It's the Oriental religious version, not Nazi Germany's.
