The Lindisfarne Methodist Community Centre is hosting a ''Harmony Flowers and Elegance Day'' on March 22.

Sherry Shelton a well-known organist, pianist and harpist is having a recital and giving a talk about her life. 

Committee member Betty Snell said Shelton was a talented musician.

''She's a very entertaining lady and she's had a very interesting life,'' Mrs Snell said.

Shelton had travelled the world and now lives in Bluff after she bought the Foveaux Hotel. 

The recital is not the only things on offer on the day. 

There will also be a silent auction and an assortment of potpourri, chutneys, jams and posies for sale, a vintage china collection and even a Bloke's corner display. 

Tickets cost $10 which includes light refreshments and entertainment. 

They can be bought from the centre prior to or on the day.

The event runs from 10.30am till 4pm at the centre in Miller St.
