A medium yarding of heavy prime cattle sold in a firm market while a very small yarding of prime sheep met with good demand at the Lorneville sale on Tuesday.

PRIME SHEEP
Lambs: Heavy $95 to $103, medium $86 to $94, light $76 to $85

Two-tooths: Good quality $69 to $72

Woolly and shorn ewes: Heavy $64 to $74, medium $55 to $61, light $46 to $49

Local trade rams: Medium $20

Friesian cow: 470 to 600kg, good condition, $84 to $86/kg

Friesian cross cow: 470 to 520kg, good condition, $75 to $79/kg

Hereford cross heifer: 440 to 520kg, good condition, $124 to $138/kg
