Dairy-farm firm goes into liquidation
A company that owned a Southland dairy farm has been put into voluntary liquidation by its shareholders.
Insolvency Management principal Iain Nellies said they had been appointed liquidators of Ryanna Farming Company Ltd.
"It's early days. We are just gathering information."
The company had no assets because the farm had been sold but after the sale there were issues with a bridge and a milking shed on the farm but he was waiting on the legal files, he said.
The purchaser of the farm was the only external creditor but the shareholders were also creditors, he said.
The Companies Office website says the shareholders of the liquidated company were James and Julie Hennessy, of Invercargill.
