Meat processor and exporter Alliance Group has secured a deal to supply lamb, beef and venison to a popular New Zealand restaurant in Singapore.

Fern and Kiwi is an offshoot of Lone Star and the company's first overseas outlet. It is Lone Star's first new restaurant since its flagship site was destroyed in the Christchurch earthquakes.

Alliance's Lorneville plant, near Invercargill, will be one of eight plants to process Pure South meat for the restaurant. The deal follows various trials with Fern and Kiwi, and their executive consultant chef and former MasterChef guest, Mathew Metcalfe.

Last year, Alliance Group became the sole supplier of chilled New Zealand lamb to UK retailer Marks & Spencer.
