Cupcakes with liquorice handles and pink biscuits were just some of the tasty goodies on offer at the Longbush Rural Kindergarten yesterday as it raised money for the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Friends of Longbush Rural Kindergarten president Maria Pagan said the fundraiser was part of breast cancer awareness month and aimed to raise about $300.

Raffles had already raised $100 and children had done their part by making lemonade scones and ambrosia.

Teachers had talked to the children about why the kindergarten was raising money.

"Most people know someone who has been affected [by breast cancer]," Mrs Pagan said.

The fundraiser was also a great place for mothers to get together and build friendships.
