Meat the award winners
Fifteen southern restaurants have been recognised in the annual Beef and Lamb Excellence Awards.
The awards, which this year attracted record entries nationwide, acknowledge consistency and quality in the preparation and presentation of beef and lamb cuisine.
The award is made after anonymous assessments by culinary experts. Assessments were carried out last year.
Beef + Lamb New Zealand chief executive Rod Slater said the awards recognised those who were showcasing New Zealand beef and lamb to the highest standard, doing justice to the product and consistently maintaining a level of excellence.
Invercargill: Emberz Restaurant (Ascot Park Hotel), Level One Restaurant, Paddington Arms.
Te Anau: Redcliff Cafe.
Queenstown Lakes: Brazz Steakhouse Bar and Grill, Captains Restaurant, Lombardi Restaurant (Hotel St Moritz), Millhouse Restaurant (Millbrook Resort), Prime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar, Roaring Megs Restaurant, Tatler Restaurant and Bar, the True South Dining Room (The Rees Hotel).
Central Otago: Carrick Winery and Restaurant (Bannockburn), Feast Bar and Dining (Cromwell), The Moorings Restaurant and Bar (Cromwell).
