Mexico's newest supercar has been confirmed for production after winning fans at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The first Vuhl 05 roadsters will be built from November and possibly go to customers in time for Christmas.
The Vuhl 05, to be built in right-hand-drive, is powered by a 212kW version of Ford's four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, the same engine used in the Falcon EcoBoost and Focus ST.
Weighing in at just 695kg, it has a better power to weight ratio than the standard Ferrari 458 Italia, though it is beaten on paper by the upcoming 458 Speciale track special.
The car impressed onlookers at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where Sauber F1 driver Esteban Gutierrez put on a show in a series of demonstration runs.
It will be be built primarily in Mexico, with bodywork sourced from Canada and driving development carried out in the UK.
Vuhl representatives say the unconventional name rhymes with ''rule'' and stands for Vehicles of Ultra High performance and Lightweight.
