10 worst trends
1. Ridiculously large handbags as seen at Chanel. Not only do they look silly, but we’re also sure ACC wouldn’t accept RSI damage claims for something so ungainly...
10 worst trends
2. Fluffy Birkenstocks, as seen at Celine. Birkenstocks already have a bad enough reputation – being the footwear of choice of hairy German female backpackers - and now Celine has gone and made the poor sandal worse with the addition of brightly coloured fluff.

3. Walking tents, as seen at Rochas and Chloe. While this trend would double as a transportable shelter, we can’t see you getting any dates in it.
10 worst trends
4. Sweaty plastics, as seen at Valentino and Givenchy. That first word, ‘sweaty’, should just about do it. Don’t expect the rubbery stuff to be comfortable in the heat.
10 worst trends
5. Moderate mod, as seen as Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs. A very average take on the mod trend, tummies on display, flat pointy shoes and wide stripes do not make for a flattering combo.
10 worst trends
6. Chastity head wear, as seen at Rag & Bone, Jeremy Scott, and Yigal Azrouel. Yes it's great for tramping in the hot sun or travelling to the Middle East, but this trend is a tad too nunnery for us.

7. Wedgie footwear, as seen at Prada. While we applaud Prada for the modern take on traditional Japanese sandals, their execution is a little bit off. We don’t care if it’s Prada or Gucci, sandals and socks are never OK.
10 worst trends
8. Clown lips, as seen at Prada. A classic trick of Pammy Anderson, the overdrawing of colour round the lips to make them seem larger is a look we hope to see only in the big top.
10 worst trends
9. Gladiator sandal boots, as seen at Altuzarra and Acne. We were just sighing with relief that the hideous gladiator trend had finally gone, and then it sneaks back out again to haunt us. Get this into your head – as with the preposterous high-heeled Timberlands once favoured by J.Lo - boots and sandals should never go together.
10 worst trends
10. White makeup, as seen at Comme des Garçons and Vivienne Westwood. White nails? Heck yeah. White eyeliner? Maybe... White make-up all over your face? No thanks Casper.

The international runways are where some of the major fashion trends we wear are spawned. But sometimes, some of what we see there is far from fabulous - in fact, it's totally hideous. We give you the top 10 runway trends for 2013 that we hope never emerge on our shores. Take note and avoid.
