A good tip I was given by a gardening friend was to dilute some dishwashing liquid with water and spray this directly onto bean plants to get rid of aphids. Aparently aphids do not like the stickiness. And true it was when I tried her tip, no aphids for a week but then I had to redo this trick again each week. Inexpensive and it works! :)
