Driver cut from car in Dunedin

A 40-year-old man is in serious condition after a two-vehicle crash in Dunedin.

Police said the man was travelling east in Dalziel Rd when his car and a truck and trailer unit collided about 10.30am today.

The man, who was the car's sole occupant, was cut from the vehicle by firefighters. He was taken to Dunedin Hospital. The truck driver was not injured.

The police serious crash unit is investigating.
