Police are calling for more information after a woman was allegedly kidnapped in Invercargill.
Police allege she was walking along Victoria Ave near Queens Park about 9pm on May 17 when a man drove past, then asked her to get in the car.
Detective Derek Millar said police were trying to find out if there were other similar incidents that had not been reported and were calling for public help.
"We're keen to hear from anyone who might have seen a male acting suspiciously around the Queens Park area, possibly in a blue four-door vehicle, both around the time that this alleged offence occurred on 17 May but also over the past few months."
Anyone with information could contact Invercargill police or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A 28-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping and doing an indecent act, and will reappear in the Invercargill District Court on June 20.
