Fire services were called to an electrical fire at Queenstown Lakes District Hospital yesterday afternoon.
A fire communications spokesman said fire services were alerted to the small fire about 4.40pm. They discovered smoke coming from the sluice room at the hospital on arrival.
It took firefighters about 15 minutes to put out the fire before they handed over to the hospital's maintenance team, he said.
