Short films created by Maori film-makers will be on show during the Matariki festival in Southland this month.
Venture Southland and the Southland Museum and Art Gallery have joined forces to run the films between June 21 and 22.
The films are sourced from the Wairoa Maori Film Festival.
A kapa haka performance is also planned at the museum at 1pm on June 29 and a weaving workshop on July 13 from 1pm to 4pm.
The Southland Astronomical Society is also hosting star-gazing sessions at the Observatory at the museum on Wednesday evenings during the Matariki period.
