Kiwi crooner Stan Walker's mountaintop gig has been moved to central Queenstown because of an overnight forecast of snow.

He was scheduled to play a morning slot at Coronet Peak skifield today with singer Ginny Blackmore as part of a live broadcast to Australia by breakfast show Sunrise.

Organisers yesterday decided to move the live broadcast and performance to Queenstown Bay opposite the Novotel. The singers will perform their chart-topping single Holding You.

Coronet Peak ski area manager Ross Copland said Sunrise would broadcast from the skifield tomorrow and feature a gig by Aussie boy band Justice Crew.

Sunrise, a Channel Seven show, is delivering its first live broadcast from New Zealand. The show starts from 9am on the lakefront with the gig about 10.30am.
