Two in hospital after Invercargill house fire
Two people have been admitted to hospital after a house fire in Invercargill last night.
Five fire trucks and at least 20 firefighters were sent to the Pomona St house, in Georgetown, just before 9pm yesterday.
A Fire Service spokesman said two peple had to be taken to hospital with minor injuries.
One had suffered from smoke inhalation, while another suffered "complications" due to the incident, the spokesman said.
No one else was believed to be at the house at the time of the fire.
A fire investigator would be at the house this morning to determine the cause of the blaze.
