PETAL PROJECT: Caroline Holmes completes the finishing touches on the community mosaic created as part of the Glengarry Art Project.

A community mosaic created as part of the Glengarry Art Project has attracted plenty of interest from members of the public.

Flowers, obviously and endearingly drawn by children, sit nicely next to sophisticated spikes of saffron daffodils and challenging tulips in the mosaic, which has taken hundreds of hours to make.

Initial designs for the mosaic came from Glengarry Market patrons, while others came in to the art project rooms and snipped away at broken plates for the finished design.

The mosaic has been installed in the west end of the Glengarry Shopping Centre car park.
