Two Queenstown readers of The Southland Times have won a trip to Niue.
Every day this month Fairfax Media is giving away a trip for two to the smallest nation in the South Pacific, a tropical island with a population of 1400.
City Impact Church Queenstown senior pastors Jocelyn and Tom Kerr moved to Queenstown in 2012 to take the pastoral roles after 26 years in eastern Canada. They will be guests of Mondo Travel, staying at the Matavai Resort.
The Kerrs were delighted to win and Jocelyn said she and her husband entered daily since the competition started. She said Queenstown was the closest thing to Canada except the metres of snowfall and very long winters.
"I was very surprised, it was great. We've never actually stopped in any of the islands, we've flown through and touched down in Fiji, Tahiti and Hawaii but never actually stopped. This will be a real treat."
The Kerrs are off to the Sunshine Coast for an early winter getaway this week and have decided to head to Niue in March. The prize includes return flights with Air New Zealand including domestic flights to Auckland International Airport.
Readers can enter using the code printed in The Southland Times every day this month.
