The man who died in a crash near Bluff on Tuesday has been named.
He was Laulalatoa Seau, 65, of Invercargill.
Seau died when the car he was a passenger in collided with the rear of a truck-and-trailer unit on Tuesday morning.
Bluff Rd was closed for several hours as emergency services attended the scene, on the northern boundary of Bluff.
Sergeant Dave Kennelly, of Invercargill, said police were still investigating the crash, and anyone with information should contact Invercargill police.
