The Central Otago District Council has adopted its annual plan after considering more than 100 submissions to the draft document.
The final plan, presented to council yesterday, has an average district rates rise of 3.4 per cent with the total rates requirement going from $24 million to $24.8m.
The plan has been shaped by outcomes sought by the community - the biggest of which, with more than 700 signatures, was the desire to see an underpass at Clyde. Council plans to fund up to $250,000 from the minor improvements budget and will explore options for any shortfall.
The second hot topic was campervan dump stations, with submissions opposing $100,000 for dump stations at Cromwell and Alexandra. The final plan has a budget cap of $40,000 each.
