Police are warning rural residents to secure all vehicles and their properties after a spate of car thefts in the region this week.
Between midnight and 5.30am on Thursday, three vehicles were unlawfully taken from three different addresses between Woodlands and Edendale on State Highway 1.
A stolen Mitsubishi Tritan ute was found in Davidson Rd, north of Woodlands, and had been destroyed by fire.
Several hours later, a blue Toyota Toyoace truck was taken from an address north of Woodlands.
A bread delivery truck travelling towards Invercargill was clipped by this vehicle between Davidson Rd and Kerr Rd.
A short time later a red Ford Falcon sedan was taken from an address north of Woodlands.
The vehicle was found in Pomona St in Invercargill about 8am yesterday.
Invercargill police would like to hear from anyone with information about these incidents or sightings of the vehicles.
