Man sought for king-hit

Wanaka police are looking for a man who king-hit another man in Wanaka early on Sunday morning, knocking the victim unconscious and badly breaking his nose.

Senior Constable Ian Henderson said police were looking for a man described as being of solid build, about 1.95 metres (6ft 5in), with a beard and moustache.

The incident took place on the corner of Helwick and Brownston streets about 2am. Anyone with information on the assault is urged to contact Wanaka police.
