Dotcom takes some 'me time' in Queenstown
Internet entrepreneur Kim Dotcom is in Queenstown enjoying the view from his bathroom, dog-sledding and taking some family time.
The outspoken internet mogul and aspiring politician is fighting extradition efforts by the United States, where he could face charges of racketeering, copyright conspiracy, and money-laundering allegedly by his file-sharing firm Megaupload. He announced he had split from wife Mona earlier this year.
Last month he offered $5 million to anyone who could help him fight the extradition case.
Dotcom may have needed some "me time" and his Twitter account was abuzz with Queenstown holiday snaps - including Mona and children.
At the weekend he posted photos of dog-sledding with UnderDogNZ, a Roxburgh tour company. He also posted the view from his toilet in exclusive accommodation near Queenstown.
Yesterday, Dotcom was out and about on Lake Wakatipu, tweeting "On the way to Middle Earth #Queenstown #GoodTimes".
The Internet Party founder has been battling for access to gain evidence the US Government has against him in the extradition case.
He lost a bid this year in the Supreme Court to gain access to evidence.
