The Gore District Council is confident it will recoup the $503,011 it is owed by ratepayers in the district, its chief executive says.
Yesterday, it was revealed the council is owed more than half a million dollars in rates arrears.
Recovering the money owing was achievable, chief executive Stephen Parry said.
"The public can rest assured we actively manage our rates collection."
