Tidy burglar makes clean escape

A tidy burglar stacked dishes on another table before stealing a table cloth along and almost $2000 in cash from Gibbston Valley Winery.

Constable Chris Blackford said the burglar struck last night and appeared to know where to look for the money.

A total of $1985.70 was taken after the offender smashed a window to gain entry.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old Irish woman was arrested after she entered a stranger's apartment, locked herself in a cupboard and urinated in it yesterday morning.

She will face charges of wilful damaged and being unlawfully in a building.

Later in the day, police spoke to a 25-year-old Frenchman in relation to the shoplifting of a bag of onions from New World at Frankton.

''As a result of this they looked at their video footage and he admitted to seven previous offences.''
