Women's league chalks up 40 years
Forty years of friendship, faith and fellowship is the recipe for success for one Invercargill women's group.
St Patrick's Catholic Women's League celebrated four decades of service to their community and parish yesterday. About 20 members gathered for lunch to mark the occasion.
President Anne McRandle said the lunch was a chance to get together, look at photographs and share stories. The league, which meets monthly, helps run a charity store and supports missionary projects in the Pacific Islands.
