Education Minister Anne Tolley will officially open Queenstown Primary School's new $1.4 million learning centre tomorrow.
Construction on the five-studio learning studio centre began last July and was completed in January in time for the start of the 2010 school year.
Principal John Western said four of the five studio-style classrooms had been used by the school's 100 year 7 pupils since then.
"It's wonderful for the school to have a permanent, quality building," Mr Western said.
In the past, relocatable classrooms had been added to house the school's rapidly growing roll, which stands at 634.
The school's youngest pupil Riley Fitzgerald, aged 5, who starts school today and its oldest, Felicity Blakeley, 11, will help Ms Tolley unveil a special plaque commemorating the occasion.
