An aerial sweep off the Fiordland coastline for two fishermen, more than a week after the pair went missing from their crayfishing boat in Doubtful Sound, has failed to find anything significant.
Te Anau man Bruce Gordon, 42 and Darren Allen, 37, of Wairio, went missing after the crayfishing boat they were aboard, the K-Cee, sank last week.
Western Southland's sub-area commander, Senior Sergeant Cynthia Fairley, said that a helicopter search was carried out yesterday morning from Dagg Sound to Nancy Sound in good weather conditions.
A foot search was also carried out near where part of the bow of the K-Cee was located south of Rocky Point.
Nothing of significance was found, Ms Fairley said.
Unless new information came to hand, it was unlikely there would be further active searches, she said.
The matter will be referred to the coroner.
