Police and an ambulance descended on Aurora College yesterday after a fight broke out between two students and a window was broken, police said.

Acting senior sergeant Fred Shandley, of Invercargill said he understood there was a brief fight at the school involving two male students about 3pm.

He believed no-one was taken to hospital and said there were no arrests but inquiries were continuing.

Aurora College principal Robyn Hickman declined to comment.
