Emergency services are at a house fire in the Clutha valley in South Otago.
Fire crews were called to the Chapman Rd, Rongahere, property just after 2pm.
Southern fire communications spokesman Brent Dunn said the house was well-ablaze when fire crews arrived and had been extensively damaged.
Two appliances from the Clutha Valley brigade were at the scene, along with an appliance each from Balclutha and Tapanui, were still at the scene dampening down hot-spots and fire safety investigators had been asked to attend, Mr Dunn said.
