Invercargill City Council chief executive Richard King was the centre of attention at an extraordinary council meeting yesterday.
The council's elected members held a "chief executive officer end-of-term review meeting" with Mr King.
Also at the meeting were Mike Stenhouse and Louise Green, from a Christchurch management consultancy that has been working with the council on Mr King's review process.
The meeting was held behind closed doors for privacy reasons and so that negotiations could be carried out without prejudice, the council agenda says.
