Two kayakers have been located after a water rescue was launched in Fiordland this morning.
A police communications spokesman said the pair had been picked up, safe and well, and were being taken back to Milford by helicopter.
They were picked up by emergency services at 10.13am, he said.
No other details about where the kayakers were from were available.
Emergency services launched the water rescue at 8.50am, after reports of kayakers in trouble in Martins Bay.
