Police investigate possible stabbing
Invercargill police are investigating a possible stabbing after a man was admitted to Southland Hospital last night with wounds to his abdomen.
Acting Senior Sergeant Geoff Sutherland said police were alerted to the incident after a male presented himself at the hospital about 9pm.
Inquiries were continuing, he said.
Meanwhile police arrested three people after a serious assault last night, Mr Sutherland said.
A 49-year-old male was punched, kicked and hit with an object at a Hastings St property, he said.
Two females, aged 24 and 26, and a 23-year-old male were arrested and inquiries were continuing, he said.
