A 17-year-old Queenstown youth is facing a raft of charges after assaulting and threatening to kill police.
Sergeant Keith Newell, of Queenstown, said the teen was arrested for disorderly behaviour at 11.55pm on Saturday and the situation escalated after he was taken to the Queenstown police station.
The teen spat at police, assaulted an officer and was threatening to kill them, Mr Newell said. He is expected to appear in court on September 10.
