Man suffers head wound
A weapon was allegedly used in a domestic incident in Invercargill this morning.
Senior sergeant Dave Raynes, of Invercargill, said a male was taken to Southland Hospital with a head wound following the incident at a Tweed St flat but was not understood to be in a serious condition.
It appeared two males had been involved in a fight, in which a weapon - possibly a stick or club - was allegedly used, Mr Raynes said.
About three police vehicles, including the canine unit, attended the scene. The flats were cordoned off by police.
Police were speaking with a man in relation to the incident, he said.
