Several cars in Gore were damaged yesterday after a motorist crashed into them after being affected by a medical condition.
Senior Sergeant Richard McPhail said emergency services were called to Railway Esplanade, in East Gore, just after 2.10pm yesterday.
It appeared a man had lost control of the vehicle he was driving, striking about four other vehicles, after he suffered from some kind of medical condition, he said.
The 25-year-old Gore man was taken to Gore Hospital by ambulance but the details of his condition or whether he was injured in the crash were not known, he said.
He could not speculate on what the medical condition was, he said.
Emergency services cleared the road and some of the vehicles were towed from the scene, Mr McPhail said. Inquiries would continue, he said.
