A pilot and Queenstown personality has been charged with careless driving causing injury after a crash on the Lower Shotover Bridge on Sunday.

Ronald Grant Stewart, 50, was remanded without plea to November 5 when he appeared before a registrar in Queenstown District Court yesterday.

Josh Kershaw, 28, an aviation company manager, was a passenger in the vehicle and was arrested for breaching bail on an unrelated matter.
