Pair burgle bottle store
Two balaclava-clad burglars are believed to have used a lump of concrete to smash their way into the Northern Tavern early yesterday morning.
Sergeant Fred Shandley, of Invercargill, said police had obtained good video footage from the scene and hoped to use it to identify the pair, who stole five bottles of spirits from the bottle store in the 4.30am raid and then ran off south towards Ritchie St.
Police wanted to speak to anybody who may have noticed anything unusual in the area before or after the time of the burglary.
Those with information should contact the Invercargill police or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
