Cyclist killed in Dunedin

At male cyclist has died following a crash on Cumberland Street, State Highway 1, Dunedin.

The crash occurred about 10am.

The cyclist was travelling north on Cumberland St at the time of the incident.

Police have been able to speak with the driver of a truck and trailer which was in the vicinity at the time of the incident.

However, it's too early to speculate on details about how the crash may have occurred.

Serious crash investigators and other police staff are working to identify the cyclist.

Dunedin Police welcome any information from members of the public who may have seen the incident.

They could call Dunedin Police on 471-4800 or provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
