A 31-year-old man who suffered spinal injuries in a paragliding crash last night has been admitted to Southland Hospital for a CT scan, police said today.
Senior constable Chris Blackford, of Queenstown, said the man launched from a popular jump point on the Crown Range near the top of the ''zig zag'' section and hit the hill about 8.15pm.
He was airlifted to Lakes District Hospital then transferred to Invercargill.
