Someone in Invercargill is richer by $20.5 million thanks to a winning Lotto ticket.
The winning ticket in half of the $1 million Lotto First Division and the $20 million Powerball First division was sold by Windsor Stationery and Lotto in Invercargill, the Lottery commission says.
"Since the start of 2012, we've created eight Lotto Powerball multi-millionaires, so when these ticket-holders claim they'll be our ninth multi-millionaire this year," commission chief executive Wayne Pickup said.
"A win this big is simply life changing, no matter what your situation - so no doubt they'll be celebrating."
The first division was shared with a player from Christchurch winning a $500,000 share of Lotto First Division.
Their winning ticket was sold at Unichem Bishopdale Pharmacy in Christchurch.
