New Zealanders have voted, and a dip in the Hanmer Springs thermal pools has topped a list of 101 must-do's for Kiwis.
The South Island attraction was rated number 1 on the Automobile Association's (AA) 101 Must Do's For Kiwi's online poll.
Other southern tourist diversions in the top 10 included Clyde's historic precinct, the Southern Scenic Route, the Otago Central Rail Trail, cruising Doubtful Sounds and Fiordland National Park.
General manager of marketing for AA Tourism, Rebecca Cherry, said the list generated "friendly industry rivalry and lots of positive community engagement."
"We know from recent research that 69 per cent of Kiwis would like to travel more domestically and that 62 per cent of us research our holidays online, so engaging people in the 101 Must-Do's' online poll is a perfect way to increase awareness of New Zealand's diverse domestic travel offering," she said.
