Police seek help finding anchor

Police are calling for public help after a solid steel anchor was stolen from outside a restaurant in Te Anau.

The anchor, one of a pair installed outside the restaurant for ornamental purposes, was taken between October 21 and 22.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the anchor should contact Te Anau police or ring the Crimestoppers telephone line 0800 555 111.

Meanwhile, Invercargill police are reminding people to keep their garages locked after a 2007 Honda bike was stolen from an unsecured garage on Conon St overnight on November 22.

Anyone with information on the theft or the whereabouts of the bike should contact Invercargill police or Crimestoppers.
