A 27 year-old man was tasered in Gore yesterday after a family dispute erupted on Railway Esplanade, State Highway 1.

Constable Richard Lindsay, of Gore, said police were called to the scene at 5.10am Sunday morning.

Police restrained and tasered the man, who was agressive and assaultive, he said.

The man was arrested and charges are pending.

It is believed this was the second time a taser had been used in Gore, Mr Lindsay said.

No further comments would be made about the charges or the use of tasers, he said.
