TV weatherman Tamati Coffey will be filming in Nightcaps tomorrow.

TV weatherman Tamati Coffey will be updating the nation's forecast from the small Southland township of Nightcaps tomorrow morning, and has asked the community to come out for the cameras.

The presenter, also known for his hosting roles on New Zealand's Got Talent and What Now?, chose Nightcaps as one of his morning stops on his "Take Off Tour", celebrating his last week on the news show Breakfast.

Mr Coffey announced last week he was taking a sabbatical from television presenting to go to Europe with his partner, Tim Smith.

Yesterday, he logged on to social network Twitter to invite residents to the live filming of the show.

"On WEDNESDAY we'll be in Nightcaps, all the way down in Southland!! So come for a visit if you're down there."

Tamati and the Breakfast crew will be outside the Nightcaps Medical Centre on Johnstons Rd from 6am tomorrow.
