Passers-by rushed to help a woman hit by a car on a Tay St pedestrian crossing yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened about 5.30pm at the crossing opposite the Cambridge Arcade.
Witnesses said the woman was walking over the crossing when the driver of a green stationwagon heading east appeared not to see her in time to stop and knocked her to the ground.
People ran to help the woman before police and ambulance arrived.
Witnesses said she appeared to have suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for assessment.
