A "disgusting" Australian man out drinking in Queenstown to celebrate Christmas exposed himself then urinated on a woman standing at a bar.
A police spokeswoman said the 29-year-old man was drinking in Altitude bar in Shotover St at 3.30am yesterday.
Bars in Queenstown closed for Christmas Day but many establishments opened at midnight, with queues forming outside pubs and clubs in the central business district.
The man met an American woman at the bar, went to shake her hand and instead of an introduction he exposed himself, then urinated on her. Police were called and the "disgusting" man was charged with committing an indecent act.
Meanwhile, police were called to domestic assaults in the resort on Christmas Day.
At 12.35am a 24-year-old man was charged with assault after he allegedly slapped his partner in Shotover St.
A couple, both 23, were charged with assaulting each other at a house in Robins Rd at 9.30pm on Christmas Day.
At 3.50am on Boxing Day a 26-year-old Chilean national was charged with drink-driving after blowing 472mcg.
