SUE FEA IN QUEENSTOWN
A Queenstown Police search and rescue team has located a couple in their 60s on the Motatapu Track this afternoon after they failed to arrive in Arrowtown.
A precautionary search and rescue operation was launched on the track thismorning after the couple, who left Glendhu Bay on Sunday, didn't make it to Arrowtown as planned.
Senior constable Chris Blackford said a group of searchers led by Senior constable Julian Cahill located the couple on the track this afternoon.
The pair were in good condition, uninjured and there were ''no dramas'', Mr Blackford said.
The alarm was raised after they failed to show as planned at the Macetown end of the track, near Arrowtown, this morning.
