A Southland forestry crew has been named the best crew in New Zealand for the third time in five years.
Otautau Contractors this month took home the national Top Spot top crew award for safety, performance, behaviour and knowledge in forestry.
Three crew members also took home individual awards, including company owner, Murius Vergeer who was awarded New Zealand's best individual in forestry.
Otautau Contractors crew member Daryl Carr and Nathan McLean also placed in the top four individuals nationwide.
